About the game

Word String gives you one starting word and asks you to find what comes next. Each new word has to pair up with the one before it, either by fusing into a single word or by finishing a saying you already know. Sun, flower, pot is one example of how a chain can grow.

You keep going until the whole chain is built. It leans on vocabulary and quick thinking more than speed, so you can take your time with each link.

How to play

• Read the first word you are given. That is where the chain begins.
• Find a word that joins with the previous one to make a new word, such as sun and flower.
• Or pick a word that finishes a well-known phrase, like orange and juice.
• Keep adding links until the full chain is complete.
