About the game

Summer Rider 3D puts you on a surfboard, racing across open water with no story to follow. The only job is to stay upright while rocks, waterfalls and other hazards come at you. Every starfish you scoop up counts as Sea Stars, the single currency, which you can trade for new boards and skins.

Rocks sometimes carry a cluster of five starfish. That is a bigger payout, but you have to time the jump just right. The longer you last, the faster the water moves, so reflexes matter more with each stretch. The sunny look and relaxed music keep the pace friendly.

How to play

• Steer left and right with A and D or the arrow keys, and hop over trouble with the jump key from the same set.
• On a phone, tap the left or right side to steer and tap both sides together to jump.
• Pick up starfish to earn Sea Stars, then spend them on new surfboards or jet-skis.
• Go for the five-starfish rocks when you can, but jump carefully, since speed keeps climbing the farther you ride.
