About the game

You play a king with one job: keep the castle standing. Enemies pour in, you scoop up the gold they leave behind, and you turn it into towers, upgrades and knights. A royal strike clears out anything that gets too close.

Each map lasts five waves. Survive them and the next map opens, across 10 biomes. After every wave you pick a reward, and crowns you earn go toward lasting boosts for your king. The tricky part is the standstill rule: shooting and building both need you to stop, so every move is a trade.

How to play

• Walk with WASD, the arrow keys, or drag with a mouse or finger. Stand still and your king fires on his own.
• Pick up the gold enemies drop, then stop on a marked plot to build or upgrade a tower.
• Hit Space or tap the strike button to smack nearby enemies.
• Hold out through five waves to open the next map, and spend crowns on permanent upgrades from the pause menu.
